Mariestad - Suro - Laxhall - Hattarevik - Mariestad

Since we did a lot of driving yesterday and the weather was not very favorable, we didn’t do much walking. Today, however, we made up for it with a short walk in the morning and a longer one in the afternoon. We had lunch at a nice spot by Lake Vänern where our second walk started. At first, we thought of taking the ferry to another island for a longer hike, but it was returning to the mainland at 5 PM, and we feared we wouldn’t make it in time. Therefore, we opted for a hike on the mainland that also took us to beautiful spots along the lake. You can keep taking pictures here, as you move from one natural wonder to another.

Afterward, we quickly drove to the local supermarket to buy our dinner since we can now cook our own meals in our little house. Then, we went to the center of Mariestad to do some window shopping, but apparently, all the shops close at 2 PM on Saturdays. So, we decided to walk to the harbor to look around there. We grabbed a quick drink and then drove back to our house where we have some new housemates coming over tonight since we are in a place with a shared kitchen, bathroom, and living room. Tonight, we'll be in the company of some Swedes. Tomorrow, the road trip continues towards Gothenburg.
