Today we slept a bit longer, and after another super breakfast in a very quiet hotel, we decided to take a walk through the center of Mora. Mora is known

This morning we explored the town of Kristinehamn, but there isn't much to see. It's ideal as a stopover to make some excursions from here. We quickly headed towards Karlstad, a slightly larger city nearby, and spent a couple of hours walking around there. We had lunch, which is incredibly cheap in Sweden; we only paid about €13 for a lunch menu including unlimited coffee and brownies. Since there were quite a few shops around, we decided to do some shopping before diving back into nature.
Below Karlstad are many small islands, and we visited one from which we found information on the internet that promised beautiful views over Lake Vänern, the largest lake in Sweden, by the way. From the parking lot, there is only one route that leads to the end of the island where you arrive at an old lighthouse. It is also a very popular area for bird watchers, but we didn't encounter any. Probably also because we saw almost no birds since the breeding season is over. After an hour and a half of walking, we decided to head back to the car to return home to our hotel, which is located in a beautiful park. Tonight we will go to bed a bit earlier. In the meantime, we also experienced rain for the first time today.
