Arrival in the early morning at Walvis Bay, Namibia, with clear visibility, but an hour later in thick fog.
Walvis Bay, in the Namibian region of Erongo, home to Namibia's most significant port, where the desert meets the ocean, with a lagoon rich in flamingos and pelicans, next to spectacular dunes. The lagoon is protected by a sandbank known as 'Pelican Point' and features a mudflat area. Additionally, Walvis Bay is a major salt producer, generating about 900,000 tons of salt per year.
For us, it's a reunion with the lagoon of Walvis Bay and the beach resort of Swakopmund, located 35km away, following our visit in 2025, along with the Walvis Bay Waterfront.
In the evening, departure towards Cape Verde, into the sunset and past drilling platforms.
