Wilson creek Chasm

On Tuesday we made the hike to the glacier, as the weather finally turned good. It was an extremely strenuous ascent of 2 hours, steeply uphill, through the forest and over roots up to the Brewster Hut. Almost 1000 meters of elevation. From the hut, after taking a short break, we continued for another 1.5 hours towards the glacier, but now over rocks and off track. We made our way between the steep slopes up to the snow-covered mountain, all the while enjoying an increasingly beautiful panoramic view.
Once we reached the glacier, it was time to catch our breath and marvel at the scene. Absolutely unbelievable!
After a short dip in the icy water, we started heading back down. The descent was incredibly arduous, and we were really relieved when we finally got back down around 7 PM. Back at the lodge, Theo and I enjoyed the homemade pizza.
