Yesterday started for us with a nutritious breakfast. Marco had (spicy) burgers with fries, while Jasmin had almost vegetarian rice with meat skewers (help), which Marco was allowed to eat. But it didn't matter, at least we had something in our stomachs. Then we headed to the Borobodur temple near Yogyakarta. This is the largest Buddhist temple in the world. Its base area is larger than that of the Pyramid of Giza. With a guide, we were even allowed to climb the temple. However, special shoes had to be worn for that. The temple is built in several levels. These symbolize the path to Nirvana. For Buddhists, Nirvana is not a place, but a state of perfection.
