From Oberndorf to Braunau am Inn

Today we set off for the first time in minimal clothing. Not even a vest against the cool wind was necessary anymore. The route followed the Salzach river to the north. Until shortly before Tittmoning, we rode on the eastern side, mostly in the shade. Then we crossed the bridge. After a short detour to the market square in Tittmoning, we continued on the left side of the river. We were a little curious about the path because there was no path on the map of my navigation system, but the Komoot route planner suggested this path. At first, it was a well-ridable gravel track for several kilometers. Then it became narrower and suddenly ended abruptly - at a steep wooden staircase. After carrying our luggage and bikes individually, the continuation of the path resembled more of a mountain bike trail. However, this section was fortunately relatively short and later returned to the normal gravel track. Possibly, this 'interruption' was the reason why no path was shown on my route planner in the first place. Afterwards, we reached Burghausen with an impressive castle complex high above the Salzach river and a beautiful old town, where we treated ourselves to an ice cream and drink break. After that, the route briefly went uphill twice before we could let it out towards Braunau am Inn, our destination for today. Current temperature 34°C.
