Epilog

A little treat to finish. Since the ICE was completely out of sync due to the detour, we had to wait for a free track before almost every station. As a result, the delay ultimately extended to 90 minutes. When we finally reached the preparations to get off just before Cologne, we realized that the door to the bicycle compartment was broken and we couldn't leave the train directly. We had to take our bikes through the entire compartment. I didn't think that was possible, but it worked.
