On the way! First to Sovano, a rather small but nice place, walked through it, visited the church, had some ice cream, and then to the Nekropoli di Etruski, caves and excavations as well as paths through the tuff stone. Quite, quite fascinating but also really, really exhausting. The paths were dug up to 20 m deep into the stone, you can hardly see any daylight and it is quite cold as the paths work like a wind tunnel. I walked through all of them 💪. The excavations cost 7 euros for entrance, but there are also paths that are free.
I then continued to Saturnia to the hot springs. To be honest—there was too much going on 😳 quite nice but somehow stressful instead of relaxing. I will go back in the early morning or later in the afternoon. The water is already lovely but it was nicer at Bagno Filippo, not so commercial and crowded.
And then there was a great Aperol with Crostini for dinner and off to bed.
Insight of the day: sometimes the right timing is crucial.
