TuscanyMaremmaElba 2nd Day

So today, I took on the Maremma!

After breakfast, I got my car, a reliable Fiat Panda once again, and off I went to the Parco Regionale della Maremma, a nature reserve by the coast. I rented a bike for just 5 euros for the day and hit the trails! It was lovely riding, with a warm breeze, plane trees providing their protective canopy over me, little and bigger geckos darting across the path, and I heard birdsong I had never experienced before. The clear signs of wild boars were also impossible to miss—thankfully, I didn't encounter any.😃😅

Blue skies, soft sand, waves, and small shells welcomed me at the beach. I let my soul unwind there; it did wonders for both her and me. After a snack to recharge, I headed back to the Centro, and then off towards Poggio Murella, my home for the next five days. A tiny little place, a nice Airbnb, unpacked, and then off to Montemerrano.

Another dream spot in Tuscany! Steep paths like everywhere here, winding alleys, cats basking in the sun, and seniors on benches in front of their doors. Simply 🥰. A must-see for anyone visiting this corner of the world!

And finally, I got my long-missed ice cream🍦😋 Later, there was a "small dinner" that completely overwhelmed me at the bar Il Glicine, for just 9 euros. Sooo delicious.

Then quickly home, feet up, tomorrow the adventure continues.
