Today, it was the turn of the other side of the island. Since Elba is not huge, it is possible to circle the island in two days without stress and still have plenty of time to...

Today was the time to say goodbye to Elba and Italy. So the whole tour was in reverse 😂—- with the car to Portoferraio to drop it off, then the ferry to Piombino Marittima, the bus to Campiglione Stazione, the train to Pisa, and finally walking to the B&B.
I can gladly recommend this accommodation. Very central to the train station and the city center, everything is easily accessible on foot, located on the 6th floor with an elevator and a view over Pisa. Very good breakfast in a cozy room and a clean room. The only downside was the tiny, tiny bathroom of about 2 square meters, but it was doable for one night.
Then I strolled through Pisa, relaxed, spending my last day sightseeing and eating.☺️ There was this nice offer of Aperol with bruschetta for 7 euros - I took advantage of it. And of course the ice cream, tre gusti for 3 euros…grandiose. Later in the afternoon, I practically stumbled into a small shop with pizza slices for 2.50, and almost at the end of the day I found Bombolo bakery, freshly made Berliners filled with your choice of cream— I haven't had something so fantastic in ages. People were sitting and standing everywhere enjoying these little delicacies, smeared with sugar and cream 😂 but it was worth it.
With tired feet, I went back to my accommodation in the evening, packed my suitcase for the next day, and the following morning I took the Pisamover to the airport and then flew to Hamburg via Frankfurt to go home. It was nice to arrive there again.
Insight of the day: sometimes you have to enjoy everything that is offered to you, even abundance😀🙋♀️
Ciao until the next trip — who knows where the wind will take me🤷♀️🙋♀️😘
