We are still in Cozumel and feel great here. Some days it still rains, but the rainy season is slowly ending. It’s never boring, but always quite relaxed.😎 I'm finally feeling a bit better💪🏼✌🏼, but (unfortunately) I still have to hold back on a few things. 🥹 Probably that's why there are fewer food pictures right now...and there is sooo much good food here in Mexico! We want to try a lot more!!!

We were back at the 'laundromat', I somehow like it here. 😊 By the way, there is no washing machine with the number 13 because that number brings bad luck. Makes sense. And we know that from Thailand already. 20-minute wash cycle at 40 degrees...there is only this one...and dryer, until the laundry is dry, after each load.

We finally used the community pool in our condo as well. Cool! You can really swim there, and we had a great afternoon/evening with Tati, along with snacks and drinks. Actually, we wanted to go snorkeling that day, but when we arrived at the chosen point in a resort, we were immediately informed that the north wind, which had been blowing for a few days, had brought many waves, current, and seagrass, making it impossible. But postponed doesn't mean canceled.

Of course, we regularly go shopping, and somehow we always find new great things, especially now 'before' Christmas and the upcoming Dia de los Muertos. No, I didn’t take the Christmas ornament with me.

On Sundays, we went to Punta Sur beach and to Rastas with our friends. A fantastic place, totally relaxed, and as usual, just nice people around. Everyone is very communicative. Fantastic weather, a gentle breeze, good food, and fine sand underfoot. After 3 hours, we drove further east to the next beach and went swimming there. Actually swimming is prohibited due to high waves and strong currents, but you don't have to go too far out...

Just the last few days we have been dealing a lot with our travel planning, but that’s part of it. We sometimes sat until 12:30 am... And we were 'surprised' that many offers were gone for Christmas and New Year's Eve in Thailand, and it gets really expensive during that time. 😅😉 We thought we would check it out now... Planning earlier wasn’t possible. And despite our many stays, we had never been there at this time. But we were successful.

Now we kick off the Dia de los Muertos. Fantastic days here in Cozumel and of course all of Mexico await us. I’m really excited; it’s just amazing here 🥳🤩💀 Everywhere, fantastical decorations and installations are already set up... I have already found something suitable for myself.

On October 28th is the day for the animals every year. You set up an 'altar' or walls where you place photos of loved ones who are now in the underworld, along with candles to help them find their way back, food they liked, and a bowl of water, as they are thirsty and need to arrive. The orange flowers must not be missing. I was of course immediately fired up and organized everything for our three ❤️🐾❤️🐾❤️🐾 So that the deceased are never forgotten, because if that happens, they can never return.

Tati has already put together a personal program, although it’s questionable whether we will get it all done.🤪 But I’m looking forward to a lot of it 💀🤩🥳 It’s definitely going to be loud... the Mexies love that 😁😆

So, now I’ll come to the end of this post. Soon we will continue with the report of our fantastic day at Punta Sur Eco Park....
