Today we have 'a few' more photos ☺️ we celebrated 'Dia de los muertos' here in Cozumel with a lot of activities around it. Everything was fantastic, and I am really happy that we experienced it here 🤩 It was something special. It all started on Friday, October 30, 2026, even though the actual Dia de los muertos is on November 2. And I must say... Friday was one of the most fantastic days for me! 🤩❤️

But let's take it step by step. Friday morning, as usual 😉 had breakfast. In the photo, you can see the usual food we eat here, even though there are often times porridge. Although we had a busy schedule today, we still went to the beach on the east coast for a few hours. It’s not the closest place (about 30 min. each way 😄) but we find this beach so cool and almost 'tourist-free' that we just do it, even though we were a bit pressed for time today.

We seldom got into the water so pleasantly; the Atlantic here is pleasantly warm. Today we had our sun umbrella, which we bought about 2 weeks ago, for the first time. When we unpacked it on the beach, we realized that a part is definitely missing, namely the lower pole 😂 Someone else must have 'needed' it and took it away... Heiko didn’t notice and was a bit annoyed... but whatever... now we have a sun umbrella that is a bit shorter 🤣

Back at our condo, we ate and got ready because at 6 PM, things started at the cemetery in San Miguel. Today in white, to be a 'light' for the dead.

Everything was very moving ❤️(the candle ceremony) and the parade afterwards was just fantastic, wonderfully amazing!!! Just all the costumes, incredible. We took many photos 😉 It went to the big plaza. And there, it continued joyfully with various performances. Nice  😍 The decorations everywhere... WOW 🤩

We enjoyed everything and in between had a Marquesa. You can imagine it like a crepe, only much crispier. Delicious. It’s amazing what all the food options are here. I hope we can try a lot more.

The next day was the costume contest... for all age groups. Heiko was out with Tati alone and later joined Chris for the 2 gigs. But we had pasta beforehand (which served as a reminder of the day 🙂 The dog that was hanging over the fence with 'frog legs' from the picture didn't need saving, by the way 😂

On Sunday, we then moved to our condo, where there are 5 apartments. Also here... SUPER! And for a week, we now even have a pool on our rooftop terrace. We have to move once more since we are here for almost 4 weeks.

Later than planned 😇 we went with Tati and Chris to the Islands Beach Club, where we spent several hours relaxing. Even without snorkeling, today we saw an incredible number of fish of all types and sizes in the clear water.

The next day I first got on the yoga mat. With all the 'events,' I definitely missed that and it was something I really needed. Now I’m back on track, daily 💪🏼🫶🏼🧘🏼‍♀️

Otherwise, we naturally used our pool. Pictures will follow 😉 there were quite a few this time.

On November 2, 2026, it was finally the actual Dia de los muertos. Another wonderful day! With the parade along the waterfront, performances... There was face painting... as you can see on Tati and Chris. Pau did a fantastic job. I was not too wild 😄 but of course, I dressed up a bit for this evening and Heiko had a shirt with skeleton mariachis.

In the end, we ended up at Wet Wendys, and... I had my first alcohol in over 3 weeks! Somehow it just had to be a... no, two 🫣 B´52s today. Love it, and it was just perfect.

These were really great days!!! ❤️
