Arroyo Grande - Continuing the Journey and Arriving in Oceanside

Today it was very cloudy and not suitable for the beach temperature-wise. (No pictures) Nevertheless… we had a great lounging day and were able to plan, search, find, and secure our next "locations" and accommodations. Since we were looking for warmer regions, we decided on Oceanside below LA, and of course LA as well :))

Have I mentioned that we live on Elms Street North… yes, we had to think of Freddy… but all is well ;))

The next day was bright sunshine ☀️, so we headed to the wide, big beach of the "Oceano Dunes". This time there was a section of beach to the left where cars are allowed to drive… Interesting, but not really our style. Nevertheless, there was a lot going on! Short distances…;) We had a fabulous beach day. Afterwards, we went to a beach restaurant nearby. Really nice, we managed to get a table outside, and soon enough there was live music starting. It was okay ;))) Unfortunately, the food was rather mediocre. I would say I had the worst crab cocktail I have ever eaten. Thawed shrimp, watery, and just ketchup dumped on top 😣 Heiko had a bit more luck :) Never mind… Tomorrow we continue.

The next day we headed to Oceanside. A hot area we passed through. An ochre yellow hilly landscape, followed by orange and wine plantations. After 6 1/2 hours we were finally "there." Quite touristy, but also late season and not too busy. Our apartment is great, right by the beach with a wonderful view and everything we need.

In the evening, we dined at Amalfi - a really good Italian restaurant. YummyYummy 😋👌🏻

With the sound of the sea, we went to bed :)) 😴
