DK25 - 05 Day 5 Græsted - Store Heddinge

Phew. 😮‍💨 When you realize after 5 meters that it’s not going to work out today, but you have to push through anyway. 😵😵‍💫

Somehow, the mindset just didn’t fit today.

It was cool, windy, and my head was all over the place.

On top of that, the weather forecast indicated possible showers throughout the day.

But I ignored the whiny voice in my head and just went for it. 💪🏼

That’s what these kinds of tours are good for.

To start off, the rain didn’t come. 😁

Though I really got lucky, I put my bike in the garage at the BnB and almost the exact moment I did, it started pouring for 15 minutes. That would have been a really wet affair, but sometimes you just have to get lucky. ☺️

The nagging voice bothered me for quite a while, all the way until kilometer 80. Interestingly, it completely went silent after a Belgian waffle, a scoop of ice cream, and a cappuccino. Maybe I should start my breakfast with that combo. 🤣🤣

As for the ride itself, I can’t say much. Everything went completely smoothly except for the headwind.

I ended up at another fantastic BnB. A farm in the middle of nowhere.

But that also meant I had to get back on the bike for dinner. 😮‍💨

And now, I can only hope that I’ll have similar luck with the weather tomorrow.

I’m also particularly looking forward to tomorrow’s accommodation. I’ll be staying in a monastery for a night. 😳
