Denmark 2026 … here we go again, it can't be true.
It was rarely so unclear for us for so long where the journey was headed. One thing was certain, September would be travel time with the camper, after we had to forgo many things...

This holiday is not starting off well.
On Saturday, the weather was bearable, and one could take the bikes out from 2 PM and venture on a trip. The weather was expected to remain stable, and the sun peeked through.
After 6 km through the forest on asphalt and gravel paths, it happened - a flat tire. And nothing to fix it with.

So, push and curse. Only to find out back at the campsite that I had not packed any spare tubes this time - which I usually do diligently.
While repairing, the next shock - 4 holes. You can completely forget about this inner tube.
It dawned on us that maybe we would be better off in the south, and the decision had actually already been made - tomorrow we are heading south.
Only to change our minds overnight. We wanted Denmark.
Going south would mean approximately 3000 km round trip and at least 5 days of travel. Considering the time factor and costs, we are sticking to our original decision - Denmark.
Even though the costs here are considerable. Denmark still uses its kroner, so that with every debit or credit card transaction, a fee of at least €1.50 is charged by the home bank. You can actually pay for everything with a card - but having to pay fees for small expenses (a scoop of ice cream, 2 beers at the beach, rolls for breakfast...) every time seems dubious to me. Just because the Danes couldn't part with their kroner.
So we are continuing overland to Funen and reaching the town of Bogense, which is charming and has a lovely marina. There, we also find space and stay for 2 days.

Especially since Monday is by far the best day of the week. This must be taken advantage of. Take out the bike and explore the area.
In the evening, we can even get the grill out and prepare the neck steaks. Finally....
After 2 days, the plan was to head to Copenhagen.
Actually ....
I will explain later.
