DK25 - 02 Day 2 Felsted - Greis (Vejle)

Second day of the tour, first one completely in Denmark.

Let's just say, it's not love at first sight. I'm not quite warming up to the country yet.

It can't be the people, they're all super friendly.

Maybe it's the landscape in southern Denmark. It reminds me of the Lower Rhine with its hills 🫣😁

Speaking of hills, I took a look. Last year, the entire Netherlands tour had 910 meters of elevation gain. Here, I've already climbed 803 meters today alone 😬

But back to the tour. It couldn't be better. The weather is perfect again, aside from the (counted) 10 raindrops around noon, my legs are still great, the bike runs like a young god, and once again a fantastic BnB.

The only issue is that the infrastructure leaves something to be desired at times. Some bike path designated lanes next to major roads are quite pitiful. Additionally, when it comes to overtaking, the distance is not very precise. A few times, I was genuinely concerned for my elbow. However, in the city, they are incredibly attentive to cyclists. I don’t know if the cars here have different mirrors, but so far, no car has “overlooked” me when making turns.

I don’t want to write much more at this point. I'm going to treat myself to a whiskey now and spend the evening with the cat from the BnB.
