Tag 178 - Beach day "Hat Thung Wua Laen"

Hi guys,

Today we had a beach day on the program :).

We woke up around 7:30 am, got ready and packed everything for the day.

First, we explored the area on the scooter. We were practically alone! We only saw about five other vehicles on the road, otherwise we had the whole asphalt (or gravel :)) to ourselves.

Once we were a bit away from the official beaches, there was more trash on the ground than sand. It's really a shame...

Along the way, we came across a temple that was completely golden. It looked very impressive and almost blinded in the sunlight :).

Since we weren't dressed appropriately (covered knees and shoulders), we decided to admire it from the outside only.

We then headed to the beach where we had dinner yesterday. We wanted to try a new restaurant and settled for the nearest one we found. We learned that you can't eat well everywhere here :)

The owner was relatively unfriendly and offered us two menus to choose from: fried rice with seafood and grilled chicken. Kevin took the first one, I took the second one... My chicken had more cartilage and bones than meat and Kevin's rice was probably not fresh... Well, at least we got an ice cream from the freezer of a nearby shop afterwards :).

We spent the rest of the afternoon at the beach and flew the drone several times. The footage turned out amazing!

In addition, there are incredibly many stray dogs here! However, they are completely friendly and sweet. One of them simply lay down next to us on the beach and stayed there for a while.

Later, we headed back and bought a few things along the way - including dog food :).

Back in the bungalow, we spent a long time copying the drone footage to our phones to edit them a bit. Kevin wants to edit a film from the individual shots and I'm cutting photos from the individual clips for the blog and later for our photo album :).

Later in the evening, we drove back to the beach and couldn't believe it! The sleepy street where most restaurants and shops were closed has turned into a colorful street full of lights and music! We sat down at a really cute-looking restaurant right on the beach and are currently enjoying the evening with music, good food, and cocktails :).
