Plans are famously made to be thrown into disarray.
So why should we be any exception? The camper van is -aimed to be- ready only by the end of January, but after checking with the ancient Romans, the reply was: “No stress, there is still a long operation here!” so we are postponing the trip.
Therefore, we re-planned and settled down in Vienna for a few days.
It can be quite cold in early January, but the sunshine, the wonderful architecture, and of course the cultural offerings more than make up for it.
Today, we start with culture: Museum Leopold with the exhibition “Vienna 1900,” since Cindy is a big fan of painting.
Bert wanted to visit the Natural History Museum, which is conveniently located right next door.
Across the street is the twin building housing the Kunsthistorisches Museum.
And since we are there, let's also visit St. Stephen's Cathedral!
Tomorrow, we will walk in the footsteps of the Third Man and the artists of the Viennese Secession.
