We write the year 3582 in a galaxy far, far, awaaaaaay… …no, wait, wrong movie. So again. March 14, 2026. Two days before the journey begins. I am currently sitting in front of my...

Second day, second post, so my dears, Tomi and I have now made it to the last of our 3 flights. I am currently writing these lines as we fly from Beijing to Tokyo over the Gulf of Chile. Intermediary report / mood is still high even after a few small stressful situations. 😊
But to explain this better, let's start at my home at 6:20 in the morning when I was awakened by a medium-loud bang. Sleepy and slightly disillusioned, I wobbled out of my room on weak stilts and saw the beautiful face of my dearest roommate. He, in my opinion, has tied together his entire root chakra and wished me a good trip. A sight of kindness for a Monday morning that may only happen once every 1000 years when the planetary alignment of Neptune and Mars aligns with Earth.
Or he simply likes me XD
In any case, I truly appreciated it :)
So, my train departed at 14:12 from Sursee to Lucerne. There I stood at platform 5 towards Zurich airport with two buttered pretzels and waited for Tomi.
The next few lines can actually be skipped as they are self-explanatory, so I thought keywords in chronological order would fit much better here.
Train, airport, smoking, check-in, problems, stress, solution, smoking, security, being hit on, lounge, smoking, Gate 46, plane.
Ok ^^ So we arrived in London, and as you could gather from the previous text, there was a bit of stress. There was a collision with our connections. The flight from Zurich to London missed its window, and the connecting flight from Beijing to Tokyo could not be checked in. Somehow, we managed to board at Gate B 32 in the last moments. To give you a sense of distance between me and Gate B 32, I would be Frodo in the Shire and Gate B 32 would be Mordor.
But according to Tomi’s assessment, we managed it quite easily. We even checked in for our last connection.
Our airline was Air China, friendly staff, and the price is just fine. You can tell that everything is quite aged. The planes scream of the 70s. A lot of things are clattering, slightly dirty, but yes, all bearable, but next time other options are always welcome.
Right at this line, I looked out the window and saw the coast of Japan. The small villages and big cities, it is nice to be here again. I’ll report in the next post how it went at immigration, but now I have to prepare for landing. Cheers out!!!😊
