It has now been several days since the last post. This time, I have a little collection of impressions I want to share with you.
After we explored the surface of the island pretty thoroughly, we were drawn into underground depths. We had no idea that Okinawa was so rich in limestone caves.
Overall, we visited 3 different caves: Cave Okinawa, Ibaruma Sabichi, and Okinawa World.
Another item on our bucket list was Shuri Castle, the 500-year-old UNESCO World Heritage Site that unfortunately fell victim to flames in 2019.
So we visited a major construction site in Japan. The interesting thing was that they were rebuilding the monument according to ancient traditions.
Of course, with some help from modern equipment, it goes without saying 😉
We spent our last day at the Botanical Garden. It didn’t have much to do with flora, but I believe pictures speak more than 1000 words.
We are now back on the main island of Japan ✌🏻
