Om Swastiastu! And welcome back to my probably last post of the Asia trip 2025!! Today is Friday, I had a wonderful last day and will have to say goodbye to some of my girls later. Tomorrow my flight back to Frankfurt is via Vietnam, and when I look back, I am very grateful for the beautiful time. Bali was really amazing! I have now spent a whole three weeks here and can say that I am a big fan. The lifestyle is very traditional and relaxed, and the people are incredible and welcoming. I really like the elaborately decorated temples, and I love the tradition of offerings where you make small baskets daily and fill them with flowers and gifts to honor the deceased. After my wonderful weekend trip to Gili T, I did some volunteering for a few days and then said goodbye to all the sweet animals here in Bali. I must say, after six weeks I am ready to travel alone during the last week and not constantly be bound to organizational times! So I said goodbye to my nice people in Tabanan and traveled independently to Ubud, a city in the north of Bali. There I met Lilia and Frode, and we spent lovely days together. For example, we hiked up Mount Batur and checked out a fantastic waterfall. It was fun because I brought my friends along, and we had a great group. Then I continued my journey to Uluwatu, probably the most famous city in the south of Bali. We took a hostel and right on time for my birthday on Wednesday, Julia from Sulzbach joined us. Here, everyone rides scooters to the beach, surfboards are everywhere, and there is super delicious food. Very Australian, a lot of avocado, and many cool vegan cafés. It feels light here! My birthday was really nice; we celebrated together and then spent the day relaxing with brunch and at the beach. Just how I wished it to be! So, the journey is slowly coming to an end, and I am really looking forward to going home. The time in Bali was really nice, but I am also starting to feel physically that it is time to return.
With that, I send you all a warm hug from afar and wish you a great start to the weekend! Warmest greetings from the Paradise Island!! Your Paula
