Heading North

That was now 9 days at Lake Garda.

A little summary: We have been to Lake Garda in 2012, 2016, and 2025. Much has changed during that time. For our taste, Lake Garda is too crowded in 2025, and that is already at the beginning of June. While the view from Hotel Villa Beatrice in Brenzone makes up for everything, Lazise is like Timmendorfer Strand in the high season.

So today we headed back north, specifically to the northern part of Italy. We traveled northward through the curves and bends of Monte Baldo. Along the way, we saw two marmots, and we were surprised by a five-minute heavy rain. Of course, there was no way to take shelter, and we naturally didn't have our rain gear on. But it doesn’t matter; being there is everything ;-)

In Lana, we had booked a double room at Hotel zum Löwenwirt. Very nice double rooms and affordable food. The welcome beer is a must.

I think we will sleep well.
