It was great again in Lutzerath, at the Maas Hotel. We always feel very comfortable there and will definitely come back.
Today, we traveled from the Eifel to the Sauerland, to the Dorint Resort Winterberg. When planning, I thought it would be nice to end with a highlight in a 4-star hotel.
We completed the 226 km around 2:15 PM and thought we would ask at the Dorint Hotel whether our room was ready. The answer was positive. However, we would have to pay an extra €40 for an early check-in.
No, thank you. We drove to the 'Clemens Hiking Lodge' and fortified ourselves first. What a truly rural and idyllic location.
A young stallion was running in the meadow next door, looking quite excited and whinnying loudly.
We were just eating when a woman led her horse on a leash past that very meadow.
The young stallion saw the beautiful 'blonde' and broke through the electric fence to be with the pretty blonde.
Chaos ensued and no one knew what to do. We couldn't help because, while we deal with horsepower, we know nothing about horse power. Ultimately, help came from the farm and the mare and stallion were separated.
Now we are sitting on our hotel terrace and winding down the day.
The beds are good, and let's see if we sleep well. Tomorrow, we'll start with the breakfast buffet and then head towards Walsrode.
Home is approaching 😉
