Back to CHC via Wanaka

The morning starts off rainy, and along the cloudy Lake Wakatipu, I pass Queenstown and Arrowtown before the Crown Range Road leads me over the pass toward Wanaka. A final look into the valley at Queenstown, then the Cardrona Hotel comes into view. Wanaka greets me with better weather; of course, I can't miss the obligatory detour to New Zealand's most photographed fence post. A late breakfast on the terrace, and time flies by. The return journey via Otematata takes me back to the East Coast and then back to Christchurch.
