The weather is as predicted;

stormy winds at 30 with gusts of 50 km/h paired with heavy showers, nighttime temperatures around 2° and pleasant 4-8° during the day, creating space to write a bit further, secure the data, cook, and tidy up.

The tent bravely withstands the gusts, it remains dry inside, and our surf jackets & hot water bottles make our stay really cozy, especially as we avoid the kitchen with the living area due to the increasing commotion.

After a delicious dinner, the wind eased, the sky cleared up, and we decided to take a walk to explore.

We head towards the Hella Caves and turn onto the left bank of the Ytri-Rangá beforehand; the path takes us past a small brewery, mini cottages, and an expansive horse farm, crossing green meadows, black dunes, fields of lupines, and the shores are adorned with 'bouquets of buttercups' and other blooming plants.

In the sidearm of the Yri-Rangá, ducks, seagulls, geese with their young, and plenty of little Eurasian coots gather.

We reach the Árbæjarfoss, which resembles a large, wonderful rapid rather than a waterfall; we enjoy sitting by the shore, watching the wild water, occasionally visitors appear on the opposite bank, making a quick detour by car to the falls.

We still explore a bit on the shore with steep, red-colored rocks before the path leads us over meadows back to the campground.
