a dreamlike little spot...
Even from the road, we could see behind a Einbreið Brú a barren parking spot with a small tent and two or three campers, hmmm too bad.

Today we let ourselves drift and move along new and 'familiar' paths. We have visited Selfoss twice before and like the now-grown settlement that offers everything one needs. We quickly buy some supplies for the coming days and continue to Stokkseyri, a small colorful fishing village with scenic tidal flats, a historic 'Fishing Hut,' and many small attractions. We conclude our brief visit with a stop at the campground because we will return to camp here for a day or two and explore everything at a leisurely pace.
Our drive continues past the Knarraros Lighthouse, the last Icelandic dairy farm, to the banks of the Pjórsá to catch a glimpse of Traustholtshólmi, a small homestead on an island in the 'colorful river,' which we cannot see from above with the drone due to the persistent strong winds (maybe later :-))
We wander around a bit more and drive along the 305 to Urridafoss, which is just as turbulent and even a bit wilder than in November 23.
Time to return to the campground to prepare some food before the 'rush' on the kitchen and to use the small common room for a warm dinner, while also checking the tent once more for the upcoming gusts.
