Tag 17 - Phu Quoc: A Day of Adrenaline and Tissues

The alarm went off again at 07:00 – cruel, I know. But today, getting up was easier. Why? Because I had been looking forward to this day for months! Even my unicorn Ursula was quickly on her feet (okay, she mostly just stands around decoratively, but I'm sure she was motivated).

The taxi picked us up on time, and we sped off to the northern part of the island full of anticipation. Destination: “VinWonders,” a huge amusement park! Sounds like fun? Oh yes. Sounds like roller coasters? Definitely.

As soon as we arrived, my heart shot up at roller coaster speed. And no, it wasn't just because of the roller coaster I had been eyeing for months. But I’ve already bored my friend Laura with all the nerd talk about loops, airtime, and G-forces – I'll spare you.

The park was fantastic! There were themed areas for everything and everyone:

The amusement park with various roller coasters.

A water park with countless slides, wave pools, etc.

A gigantic aquarium built into a giant turtle – because turtles apparently need a lot of space.

And of course, a kids' area where I happily lost myself too.

I laughed, screamed, marveled – and sniffled all day long. Yes, my cold accompanied me like a particularly clingy travel companion. My nose was running faster than any roller coaster in the park. But hey, there are worse things, right?

In the evening, we had a spectacular show as a grand finale, featuring theater, water fountains, and fire. A real wow moment! I didn’t need tissues to wipe away tears of joy, but of course for my nose.

So after the show, I quickly headed to the pharmacy. The saleswoman there probably hadn't sold nasal sprays in a long time. She had to search for it for quite a while. Armed with medical wonders, I made my way back to the hotel.

Tomorrow, I get to sleep in before packing my bags. After that, the big journey home begins – hopefully without my nose still dripping like a waterfall.
