🍁 Canada, get ready, Ursula and I are coming! ✈️🦄
Nine months after our last big adventure in Vietnam, it’s time again: Pack the backpack, get on the plane, and off we go! This time our wanderlust leads us to the land of maple leaves, bears, moose, and endless expanses – Canada.
So, Tuesday morning: Ursula, my little rainbow unicorn, and I set off a bit tired on our way to Zurich. There, our first flight awaits – Zurich to Vancouver. After a bit of a delay, we’re really off.
The good news: I was perfectly prepared for this 10-hour flight. How? Well, I basically stayed up both nights before – a little on Sunday to Monday, and not at all from Monday to Tuesday. Result: I slept like a baby for 8 hours and only woke up for lunch and a few curious looks out the window.
Upon arriving in Vancouver, we first had to: Wait, wait, wait. A total of 6 hours layover at the airport – enough time for refreshments in the Mapleleaf Lounge and for me to wonder if rainbow unicorns like maple syrup as well.
Then it was on to the second flight: Another two and a half hours to Whitehorse – and just like that, after exactly 24 hours of travel time, we finally reached our destination. We were warmly greeted at the airport by Christine (and I think even the unicorn was happy).
A short drive to the hotel, threw the bag in the corner, and we were quickly in bed – completely exhausted but happy. Tomorrow is the next big highlight: We pick up our camper! 🚐💨
So get ready, Canada – we are coming! 🇨🇦✨
