Day 2 - Start of our Vanper adventure

Good morning from the land of maple syrup dreams! 🇨🇦

This morning we woke up in a cozy motel bed – and to be honest, after the flight, we slept like bears in hibernation. 🐻💤

Feeling rested, we first went on a food hunt – meaning: breakfast! 🥞☕ Energized and eager, we then explored the tourist shops in Whitehorse. Spoiler: There are more bear souvenirs here than actual bears! 🐻

Back at the motel, it was time to pack, call a taxi, and start our adventure! 🚕

Our destination: the camper rental. Because what’s better than a motel room? Exactly – a rolling home on four wheels! 🚌💨 Our new companion for the coming weeks was warmly welcomed and, of course, immediately inspected with love.

Next on the agenda: big shopping! 🛒🍞

We stomped through the supermarket aisles like two excited scouts preparing for an expedition. Pasta? Check. Snacks? Check. Way too many snacks? Double check. 🍪

Then it was finally time – departure! We rolled out into the Canadian wilderness (or at least towards the wilderness), and our first destination was: Takhini Hot Springs. There we set up our very first campsite on a cozy campground. 🏕️

And since camper life deserves relaxation too, we headed to the hot springs in the evening – wonderfully warm water, sauna vibes, and total vacation spirit. 💦🔥 After that, we happily fell into the camper bed – our mobile nest for the rest of the trip. 😴🚐
