Trip to Turtle Island🐢

Today was finally the day for the trip that got canceled yesterday: The boat tour to Turtle Island Curieuse.⛵ Beforehand, we had porridge for breakfast and then set off at 9 AM by boat. The ride through crystal-clear water took only about 15 minutes until we arrived at an absolute dream beach.😍 We then had a stay of 1.5 hours, which we spent swimming.🌊 Afterwards, we started a small hike around the island with our 'German group' (we simply had a guide who spoke German😍). During this hike, we learned a lot about the plants, the wildlife, and life in Seychelles. The guide showed us all kinds of animals (like a crab, for example) & we got to smell the bark of a cinnamon tree.😋 Upon arriving on the other side of the island, we were greeted by the real stars of Curieuse: the giant tortoises.🐢😍 Over 300 of them inhabit the island. You could feed them (they prefer hibiscus flowers), pet them, and take photos with them; they were very curious.☺️ Our lunch consisted of a barbecue prepared for us by the locals. Who can say they’ve eaten amidst giant tortoises?😅🐢 How our trip continued, we will share in the next post :)
