Plans fall through🌧️

Actually, we had booked a day trip by boat today, including a snorkeling trip. But it rained heavily all night, and there was no improvement in sight this morning.🌧️ Since Janike wasn't feeling well (she seems to have reacted badly to something she ate yesterday), we decided to spend the day relaxing at our accommodation.☺️ Luckily, we were able to postpone the trip to tomorrow.💪🏻 So we mostly stayed in bed, watched a movie, took a nap, and relaxed on our covered terrace.🛌🏻 We had hoped that it would clear up at some point so that we could still go to a beach, but the rain just wouldn’t stop. Since our water supply (for drinking😂) was empty and we needed some for cooking, we had no choice but to leave the apartment and go to a supermarket.🍶 However, in our village, there is only a very small one that only opens when you ring the bell. Unfortunately, that didn’t work for us; after ringing, the door remained locked.😢 What a stroke of luck that we shared our fate with another young German couple who conveniently had a rental car. They kindly took us to the next village so we could go grocery shopping there.🛒 For the return journey, we took the bus: tickets can be purchased here very modernly via an app, but the bus sounded like it was falling apart on every turn.😂 On the way from the bus stop to our accommodation, we saw a few giant tortoises in a garden. We look forward to experiencing them in the wild during our trip tomorrow!😍🐢
