The sky is crying - and so is Janike😢
Today was our last 'real' vacation day in La Digue, before we take the ferry to Mahé tomorrow and our return flight is on Tuesday. Therefore, our plan was to have another lovely...

Today was the day we had been somewhat dreading: Our ferry ride back to Mahé was due.🛥️ But first, we had to check out and wait for another 2.5 hours until the shuttle to the port arrived. So, we fed the cats one last time and brought some food to the sterilization clinic.🐈⬛ The way our bags were taken to the ferry was legendary: they were just stacked on the back of a transporter (in three layers), and everything wobbled as they drove.🧳 It's truly a miracle that all the bags made it to the port.😂 When we arrived there, we had to wait another hour before we could set off. Especially Janike's nerves were building up. Due to the terrible stories from other tourists and the Google reviews, we were prepared for the worst.🤮 And yes, the ride was more like a roller coaster than a relaxing boat trip. And yes, the waves were really high. But thanks to the travel tablet, Janike kept her seasickness well under control (the kayak tour prepared her excellently for this😅💪🏻). And miraculously, the passengers around us did not have any problems either, so the journey could end without any disgusting noises and smells (which we were so afraid of).🥳 We took a taxi to the last hotel in the Seychelles, where we would only spend one night before flying out tomorrow.✈️ Since it was raining outside again and Yannick wasn't feeling too well either, we decided to relax in the accommodation. So, there was a power nap and a delicious dinner at the hotel's restaurant.😋 And thus, our last evening in the Seychelles came to an end...
