May 22. Zhangjiajie National Park

Unfortunately, fog and rain. We still head to the glass bridge, one of the longest in the world. However, we can see neither the abyss below us nor the end across from us. In the end, it gets better. To protect the glass, we must wear shoe covers.

We take a cable car (from which manufacturer?) unfortunately again in the fog to bizarre rock formations, similar to the Bastei in Saxon Switzerland. The Chinese call them 'Pinsel peaks.'

The fog clears, and the sun comes out. Since an Avatar movie was filmed here, the crowds are immense; selfies are the most important. The call 'No crowding' could apply to all of China, but unfortunately, it is not heeded. Especially as the nice weather now also attracts more visitors.

We descend with the supposedly longest outdoor elevator, although a lot of it is also inside the rock.
