Conclusion
China is highly interesting. There are MANY Chinese, very many, and everywhere. They are friendly, but mostly speak NO English, which is surprising for a global power. However,...

A long-held wish of Elke was to see the white houses of Mykonos. So we finally decided to take a vacation there. I was there exactly 50 years ago, with a sailing yacht, for an afternoon. At that time, the hustle and bustle of the then newly discovered hotspot was too annoying for us, which is why we went over to Delos.
So today, September 18, we set off. While long-haul flights in business class are pure enjoyment (including waiting time at the airport), one can only endure economy class and eagerly awaits the end of the 2.5 hours. With a one-hour delay and an extensive island tour, during which other guests were taken to their hotels, we arrived at the Myconian Imperial at Eliabeach. The room, although it did not have a shower as ordered but rather a bathtub, was beautiful with a fantastic view, so we decided against a change.
It was very large and stylish, but somewhat impractically equipped. In particular, there were no hooks for towels, shelves or drawers for clothing.
After a first swim in the saltwater pool, we took advantage of the dine-around option at all the facilities and dined at the Greek restaurant Samera. Live music was available from 9 PM.
Over the next few days, it became clear that Mykonos is indeed a party island, meaning music is always and everywhere, usually too loud.
A pleasant feature of the Myconian Collection is the dine-around. One can dine at any of the 5 hotels in the bay, mostly very exclusive. Free shuttles make it easy to get there on demand.
The service everywhere was excellent and very attentive.
Outstanding is the hotel's own beach section, which has plenty of free loungers with umbrellas. The sand/pebble beach is narrow but about 1 km long. The sea is one of the clearest and cleanest in the Mediterranean.
