The tsunami was predicted, but fortunately Tokyo was only grazed... However, it was enough to get quite wet.
After nearly 3 weeks of sunshine, some rain is welcome.
We rearranged our planned program and went on the hunt for Japanese souvenirs. Requirement: Quality made in Japan. However, first we found something for ourselves and took our treasures to the hotel.
After that, we headed to the TNM Tokyo National Museum... It was a very nice visit and highly interesting... well... they could have really done without the broken vases, jugs, and plates...
Once the rain eased up, we walked to Asakusa... a lovely neighborhood that invites you to stroll and is also very attractive on the outside.
We will stop by here again tomorrow.
Since we had tickets for the Skytree... the tallest building in Tokyo at 450 meters, we didn’t waste any time to avoid being late.
To keep it short... folks, that thing is amazing and definitely belongs on everyone’s Tokyo bucket list.
Here, I just want to let the pictures speak for themselves.
After a snack in the adjacent food hall, we made sure to get back to the hotel because late at night our feet start to hurt.
In this sense..
Good night Germany... see you tomorrow.
