Florence 2024 - Day 5

Saturday, 06 July 2024 – Day 5

Rest day, sleep in, prosciutto con melon.

Shopping at the Fattoria: oil and wine and honey. E un poco di sale for a quick snack: mozzarella and tomatoes. We're going to have lunch at 2 anyway, here at the Fattoria: Polentine fritte con lardo and Salume toscana and pasta and coffee and dolci...

Then laze around again, read a book in the shade, write postcards. We don't go to the pool again until around 6, when it's nice and quiet here.

For dinner we drive to the villa district of Florence, to Fiesole: Le Lance di Fiesole . Lisa takes an egg (Uovo 62.5 °C) and lasagne, I take polpo grigliato and another Tagliata Manzo, here with a few tomatoes. To finish off, coffee and limoncello and a look up into the lounge - really cozy here.
