Nha was my first stop during solo traveling. Since I was already used to the buses, it felt quite natural to sit in one. I arrived and initially walked away from the bus station to avoid catching a driver's attention. On my way to the hostel, I ended up hailing a Grab on the street, but we didn’t go to the right place because it’s more difficult to show the address than to type it in beforehand and book a Grab. Upon arriving at the hostel, I was positively surprised that everything looked good, and there were curtains and free breakfast. I first went out to eat alone, and it felt nice to wander the streets by myself, even when it was already dark. Back at the hostel, I met a few roommates right away and got along well with them, especially with Lara, an 18-year-old British girl. On the rooftop of the hostel, we met more people, and after a lovely day where we explored some beautiful places together, we had dinner with a larger group of hostel folks and spent a nice and fun evening at the beach.

The next day, I organized bus tickets with Isabel, spent time at the beach with Judy, and hiked up a hill with Julien and Lara, where I enjoyed a beautiful sunset over Nha Trang.

Even on the last evening and the day after, I met a few nice people at the hostel with whom I could have very interesting conversations.

Nha Trang was very social and reassured me that I can meet people if I want to, as long as I seek out the right places.
