We have become a small group in Khiaw. Mark and I traveled on the same day by minivan to different accommodations, and Freddi took the same van as I did. I had dinner with Freddi and checked into my accommodation, a large dorm without curtains, and it was raining, so there was no common area to sit in during the rain. I struggled a bit with the transition from Luang Prabang to Nong Khiaw, but I rolled out my yoga mat again and made some phone calls, which felt really good.
The next morning, we really set off; the nature is beautiful. I did some yoga on the terrace, I went to the hostel pool, and I went hiking with Freddi and Mark. During the day, Logan, Matt, and Luce arrived. We went on a camping trip to the Nong Khiaw Everest, ate at the summit, and slept there. Logan and I tried to sleep outside the tents under the open starry sky, but around 2 AM, we sought refuge in the tents, which was a very good decision given the rain 😄
Mark seemed to have caught something that made him feel sick at night, poor guy dragged himself all the way down so he could finally recover. Through this camping trip, we met a few more really nice people, which brought us a bit closer together :)
We shared accommodations with several people, which was more practical than the few available hostels, and spent some wonderful evenings together. I got my sidecut shaved again, swam in the river, and went hiking every day. Ramona from Graz seemed very pleasant to me and matched my vibe, so I wanted to follow her recommendation to take a boat to Muang Ngoy, and Logan was also keen to join.
