Seychelles - Day 10: From the most beautiful to the 2nd most beautiful beach

After breakfast, we headed straight back to Anse Lazio. This time, however, it was just a starting point to reach the second most beautiful beach on the island, 'Anse Georgette', via a trail of about an hour.

As we left behind the two smaller neighboring beaches of Anse Lazio, we continued classic jungle style, hand-in-hand or rather, prick in hand, with the mosquitoes along the coast, with partly wonderful views back to Anse Lazio and the sea.
Since the trail is one of the most popular, at least finding our way wasn't a problem this time.

After about 1 hour, we could already admire Anse Georgette with its similarly turquoise blue water from above.
Once we arrived at the bottom, we first had to pass by the giant crabs before we could jump into the water.

The snorkeling gear also had to stay in the backpack today, as the waves and the sand swirling around did not invite for snorkeling here either.
But who needs snorkeling gear when the sharks come right up to the beach?!

We could hardly believe it when we stood ankle-deep in the water and had to almost leap sideways to avoid giving the blackfin reef shark a bloody red fin.
Calmly, it swam in search of small fish, darting between us.

The return hike on the trail was similar, except the tiny mosquitoes drove us along, and unfortunately, they were quite successful.

Scratching and covered in red spots, we had a dinner with a Mexican touch tonight.
Garlic pumpkin soup, chicken fajitas, and veggie wraps at typically Seychellois inflated prices.
