Into the Mountains ⛰️

After a restful night in the Erongo Mountains, we are awakened by a breathtaking sunrise.
Our destination today first takes us through the small town of Uis, where we make a brief stop at the Cactus and CoffeeTea Garden.
Energized, we continue on, passing by the Brandberg, the highest massif in Namibia.
Due to the increasingly rising temperatures, we decide against a hike to the 'White Lady', a rock painting that can only be reached after a walk of about 1 hour.
Instead, we drive straight to today's end destination, Damaraland.
Upon arrival, we quickly join a tour to the rock engravings of Twyfelfontein, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the richest archaeological site in Namibia.
Sweaty, we arrive at our lodge for the next 2 nights.
A simple tent camp with outdoor bath 🚿🚽 and, to the dismay of the children, NO WIFI!
Hence, this is only the report of the last 2 days back in civilization now 😉
