Offline Part 2

Day 2 starts with a real highlight. We're going on a safari 🐘 After nearly an hour, our guide spots a small group of 5 desert elephants 🔍. There’s also an 8-month-old young bull 💞 that we can later observe while he takes a nap 😴💤
So close, what an experience 🙏 Unfortunately, we have to head back all too soon.

For the rest of the day, we feel a bit lost. We would have loved to enjoy the amenities of a pool right now (but sadly we didn’t have one, actually for the first time on our trip 😩) The thermometer shows nearly 40° 🥵 Water in the desert is just a scarcity 😢

On a whim, we decide to head to the Petrified Forest. The ancient, tree-like remains here are about 300 million years old.

To wrap up the day, we climb the hill at our camp and enjoy the sunset before heading back to the tents ⛺️.
