In the morning, we headed to the next campsite, east of the port of Sitia... we thought... but more on that later. The drive was again towards Pachia Ammos and just before the town, we could turn towards Sitia. But first, we had to shop at Lidl. After all, we needed some supplies. The drive there was amusing again. The GPS had us turn left at an intersection... ok, we did that, and then we were supposed to take a small steep road over another business to reach Lidl... no, that had to be done differently.... back again and - illegally - just drive over the solid line.... no one saw it. We were then able to turn directly into the Lidl parking lot.... 110 euros later we were ready for the drive to the campsite... BUT... the GPS sent us so stupidly that we were led straight through the old town of Sitia. Anyone who knows old towns knows – it’s really no fun. We were directed onto a road where the street was closed due to construction work.... hooray into the roundabout where a construction worker was standing with his vehicle.... unfortunately, they forgot to block off the roundabout. Finally getting out, we decided not to visit the campsite and just drive back the way we came... AND... we passed the last campsite in the mountains again... zack, parked there and stayed overnight... really great.

We continued towards Ierapetra as there is also a Fiat dealer with a repair shop... our “cigarette lighter” is broken, and we want to replace it as it also gives us the opportunity to charge the power station while driving... of course, they couldn’t help us... but that’s ok.

In Ierapetra, we turned left towards the east and shortly thereafter, we had our campsite for 2 nights on a cliff with a view of the sea. Dreamy... ok, you just had to accept the trash and glass shards, like everywhere in Greece. We couldn’t really go for a walk... but walking up and down the cliff was definitely possible. As you may have read, we stayed for 2 nights and then continued our journey eastward.

Unfortunately, we had to realize that we were standing a bit too crooked, and the fridge did not take it well... it simply refused to work. Instead of giving an alarm, it just stopped working. Super since we still had meat frozen in the freezer.... that meant at the next place: fry, fry, fry...
