Hi friends...here our little contribution to the cities of Kuala Lumpur (KL) and Melaka in Malaysia...actually we wanted to skip KL because we didn't feel like visiting another Asian metropolis, but our dear friend Diana from Koh Lanta was in the area for a few days, so we decided to make a little detour to the capital after all. It was nice to meet Diana, but as expected, the city is not really worth seeing...too big, too tall, too loud; that's why we moved on after 2 nights. Nevertheless, there was something good about it...Sergi was approached on the street by a hairdresser who asked him if he wanted a free haircut in exchange for a photo of him on his Instagram page...yes, of course! :) And just like that, Sergi sat in a fancy hairdresser's chair with iced coffee and tea, and Mine also got a manicure and pedicure...it's very convenient that Sergi is such a handsome man and Asians love the Viking style! Win-win situation 😉
After KL, we spontaneously made a stop in Port Dickson to personally meet our current captain Gilles, which later turned out to be the right decision...after he had gotten to know us charming creatures, he hired us as crew members on his sailboat 😊...more about that in the next post.
Since we set sail 2 days later, we took the opportunity to visit Melaka...we loved it! ❤️ Melaka is a charming little city with many cute spots and interesting people. Our homestay, "Orkid@29," was super beautiful and perfectly located...the hosts, Teena and Lee, were very relaxed, helpful, and open...on the first evening, we took a cooking class with Teena, which allowed us to get to know the two of them and the other people in the homestay a bit better...the rest of the time, we explored the city or had a beer by the Melaka River in the evenings with some people...you won't believe it, but on the last evening, a crazy Frenchman who lives in Melaka actually convinced Sergi to sing karaoke 😝 a unique experience, I can tell you (those who know Sergi better know what I mean 😉)...if you're in Melaka, you must definitely keep an eye out for Antsman Francis...he's a crazy little artist who sells or gives away his artworks at various corners of the city...it's worth talking to him a bit and buying some of his masterpieces 😊
Yes, we had a fun time and are now on our way to Thailand...we'll keep you updated and think of you, dear ones! Sending you a big hug!
Peace & Looooove! ❤️
