Hi everyone,
Our day started as usual: in the pool. However, there was a huge surprise! We were sitting there so comfortably when something jumped or fell into our pool. I didn't even notice it until Kevin shouted, 'there's something in the water!' We both jumped up, hopped out of the water, and saw something slithering through OUR kiddie pool. After looking closely, we realized it was a lizard. It was really cute! At first, we were a bit concerned if it might be poisonous. But this 'little' (about 40 centimeters) thing was definitely more afraid of us than the other way around. The lizard could easily stay underwater for five minutes without taking a breath. After we had watched the unexpected visitor for a while and taken all the photos, we thought that pool water probably wasn't the best for the little creature. Kevin (also on the phone *laughs*) fished the lizard out of the water. But as soon as it was on land, it ran back into the pool. On the second attempt, we succeeded and said goodbye to our guest.
In the afternoon, we hopped on the scooter in search of a restaurant. We drove past Kamala Beach, up a hill (we didn't get far as the next village, 'Bang Tao,' is still sealed off) and eventually returned to our village. There we found an open restaurant (today is not only Sunday but also a public holiday) and you won't believe it: they had rösti! I had to order it right away! Kevin had calzone :). The food was really great and the service was very friendly! We will definitely not be the last time there :).
Before we went home, we bought a bottle of white wine, a few beers, and some other drinks.
Back at our accommodation, we enjoyed the afternoon on our terrace with a great view of the jungle.
Now we are still sitting outside, now with a glass of the aforementioned wine and a beer. We're ending the day like this and will check in again tomorrow :).
Until then!
