These lazy days are addictive. We got up late, and took the dogs out for their morning walk, going round the lake to the cafe where we had a coffee and a swim, before strolling back to camp for lunch. After a read and a doze we went to the bar for a drink and to swim, one at a time.
As we were heading out for our evening walk, we bumped in to the young woman from the Geordie couple we met the night before. They have a Doberman that is 11 months old, and are also travelling for 3 months in a van they fitted out themselves. She told us that she got engaged today. They are a lovely couple, very chatty and friendly, and we are delighted for them. The sad bit is we don’t know their names yet! There’s always tomorrow. Their motivation for travelling is that her mum passed a way last year at 44, and that made them decide to just do it. She was tearful telling us, and so was Jane.
It has been hot today and the evenings, once we are in the van, are also warm, too warm. Consequently we are sitting out at nearly half past eleven. Sleep is also challenged by the live act at the bar. He’s a one man song machine singing all the hits from A to B.
