We spent the last 4 days in Mui Ne. We stayed at Backpackervillage for only 2.50€ per night. It was a great deal with a pool and evening activities.
Unfortunately, due to the tourist boom, the entire beach in Mui Ne is private and belongs to the resorts. The public beach is so far away that you can't walk there. After being at the beach for an hour without any shade, we decided to stay at our hostel and use the pool for the rest of the time :)
One highlight in Mui Ne is the sand dunes. To avoid sitting by the pool for 4 days straight, we decided to take a sand dune tour. First, we were taken to Fairytail Stream by a jeep. It is a stream that you can walk through, surrounded by sand and rock formations. The next stop was Fisher Village. During the day, all the fishing boats from Mui Ne are here before they head out to sea at night to fish.
The next two stops were at the sand dunes. First the 'White' and then the 'Red', where we could admire the sunset. It is truly impressive what formations the wind can create with sand.
