I spent most of the last two days in the car. Yesterday, I drove from Golden through Glacier National Park to Kamloops. I wanted to explore the downtown area in the evening, but unfortunately it started raining and storming just then, so I only took a short drive in the car. This morning, I started very early towards Squamish. I drove through cowboy country. Huge fields, lots of horses, cows, and endless landscapes. I arrived in Whistler around noon. Whistler was the location of a large part of the Vancouver Winter Olympics. It was nice, but quite crowded. Even in Canada, there is an extra day off this weekend. Monday is Victoria Day, a holiday. I will spend my last three nights in Canada in Squamish, which is about 50 kilometers away from Vancouver. Squamish is the intersection of the ocean, river, and alpine forest. I arrived there in the afternoon. As a final touch, I treated myself to an Airbnb accommodation with its own kitchen. I just went shopping and will prepare something for dinner :)
