Today I drove another scenic highway and stopped on the left and right repeatedly. The Sea-to-Sky Highway goes from Vancouver to Whistler. Yesterday I already drove the stretch from Whistler to Squamish, which was more sky (sky). Today I drove from Squamish to Horseshoe Bay, which definitely corresponded to sea. Horseshoe Bay is just a stone's throw away from Vancouver. Among other things, the ferry to Vancouver Island departs from there. When I arrived there, I got myself a coffee and sat down at the harbor to have lunch there. Today, looking at the ferry, I thought about how about three weeks ago I was still deciding whether to go to Vancouver Island or go to the Rocky Mountains. In the end, I haven't regretted for a second to choose the Rockies. I found a nature, landscape and wildlife there that I could not have dreamed of. Nevertheless, a trip to Vancouver Island would also interest me. But for today and for this trip, the impressions I have collected are enough and it is time for a new country and new adventures. The best part is, however, that I won't be alone anymore :) Tomorrow is my last full day in Canada and then I will take the train to Seattle.
