After the unsettling feelings upon our arrival at the airport and the deafening noise at the pub, we gain a completely different picture during our first round. Luang Prabang, located at the confluence of the Nam Khan and the Mekong, proves to be a friendly, colorful city with a French colonial charm and a variety of temples, markets, restaurants, cafés, and shops offering both traditional crafts and modern art.
