.... and there is again quite a bit to report, although less from today than from some very special experiences.
First, the Tourist Experience: The old town of Hoi An is idyllically located by the Thu Bon River and perhaps that is why it is so beautiful, so romantic. The attached photos are a small testament to that.
Now for the Personal: We had a wonderful host in Luong at 'our' little ANICCA VILLA, who radiated warmth and took care of us with great affection. Yesterday we cooked together with her and enjoyed dinner together with her and her family. We will all remember those moments fondly.
Now for the ordinary life: On one hand, we were fortunate in Hoi An to observe a Vietnamese wedding on the sidelines. Big, loud, short .... that summarizes the experience. On the other hand, there was a death in the immediate vicinity of 'our' villa, the passing of a 102-year-old woman. Thus, we could discreetly witness the honoring of her life with lavish - immediately provided - decorations, flowers, an altar, speeches, and exchanges.
Finally: Before the aforementioned experience, we enjoyed the great Vietnamese food once again on our last day in Hoi An.

Danke Ihr Lieben! Wir hatten auch - genau so wie in Singapur - Glück mit dem Wetter: Die ersten Vorhersagen sahen nach ziemlich viel Regen aus, was sich letztlich weitgehend in Sonne auflöste.
